Launching October 1st on iPhone and Android
Price for Profit™
Know what your handmade products actually cost you and make the profit margin you want on everything you sell.
Materials, labor, packaging, and every fee the marketplace takes - Price For Profit™ adds it all up and tells you what to charge on your website, on Etsy, at a Faire or show, or anywhere else - at the margin you set.

You sold out. You were exhausted. You went home with less money than you expected and no clear idea where it went.
The same price everywhere means the wrong price somewhere.
A $28 candle nets one amount on Etsy, another at a booth, and another on your own site. If your price is identical across all three, at least one of them is wrong.
Three times materials isn’t a formula.
It’s a rule of thumb that ignores your time, your packaging, and the cut the platform takes before the money reaches you. It happens to work for some products and quietly loses money on others, and nothing tells you which is which.
Your labor is the biggest cost you’v never counted.
For most handmade goods, time is the largest single input. It’s also the one most sellers leave out entirely, which is exactly why the numbers never explain themselves.
The spreadsheet works until it doesn’t.
Most sellers who take pricing seriously have built one. Then the price of wax changes, or a marketplace adjusts its fees, or you add a fourth channel, and the whole thing needs rebuilding. Nobody has time to do that four times a year.
We showed this to vendors at a Renaissance Faire
We spent a day talking to candlemakers, soap and perfume makers, jewelers, leatherworkers, glass blowers, woodworkers, potters, metalworkers, costume and hat makers, bakers and candy makers. Here’s what some of them said before the app was even finished.
“I’m a CPA and I’m tired of building spreadsheets. Something like this would be really useful.”
— CPA and craft vendor
“This is impressive. We could use something like this to make sure we make money.”
— Vendor who works more than 30 markets a year
“That’s really reasonable. I can pay for the annual subscription with one sale.”
— Leatherworker, on hearing what we plan to charge
Reactions from vendors at a Renaissance Faire, September 2026. They saw a preview — the app launches October 1st.
Four steps. Then you have real numbers.
Step 1 — Build your materials library once.
Enter what you buy and what you paid. A case of wax becomes a per-ounce cost you never calculate again, and every product you make from then on pulls from it.
Step 2 — Add a product.
Materials, packaging, the minutes it takes to make, and how many you make per batch. Batch costs divide down to the unit automatically.
Step 3 — Set up each place you sell.
Etsy takes listing, transaction, and payment fees. Your own site takes processing. A show takes a booth fee. Set each one up once and reuse it forever.
Step 4 — See what to charge.
Your true unit cost, the margin you’re aiming for, and the price that gets you there — worked out separately for every channel you sell through.
What the app does
Build your materials library once. Enter what you buy and what you paid. A case of wax becomes a per-ounce cost you never calculate again, and every product you make pulls from it.
Cost a product in minutes. Materials, packaging, and how many you make per batch. Batch costs divide down to the unit automatically.
Count your labor at your real rate. Set what you pay yourself or your employees per hour, log the minutes, and see time priced like the cost it is.
Set up each place you sell. Etsy takes listing, transaction, and payment fees. Shopify or your own site has different fees. Set each marketplace / sales channel up once and reuse it forever.
Name the margin you want. Tell it the profit margin, and it works back to the price that gets you there — separately, accurately for every channel.
See your whole catalog at a glance. One dashboard with every product and the real margin you’ll earn, whether you take the recommended price or set your own.
Price For Profit™ is a pricing tool, not bookkeeping software. It doesn’t do your taxes, track inventory, or sales. It’s not a Point of Sale system. It tells you what price to charge.
Thirty shows or locations a year? Add them all.
There’s no cap on the number of marketplaces, products, or materials you can set up.* Every show, every market, every online storefront gets its own fees and its own recommended price, and they all live in one dashboard.
Set up a venue once and it’s there next season.
* Requires paid tier. Free tier limited to one marketplace and 10 products with unlimited materials.
If you make it and sell it, this is for you.
Candles · Soap and lotion · Perfume · Jewelry · Leatherwork · Glass · Woodwork · Wooden instruments · Pottery and ceramics · Metalwork · Costumes and period clothing · Hats · Baked goods · Candy and fudge · Resin · Sewn goods and quilts · Knit and crochet · Printed goods and stickers · Chainmail and armor · Herbal and apothecary · Anything you make by hand
Whether you sell twenty pieces a year or two hundred a month, the math is the same. Most people just haven’t done it yet.
And if you’re still planning your first shop, this is the best possible time to start. Getting your prices right from day one is far easier than raising them on customers later.

How we make money
Subscriptions. That’s it.
We don’t sell your data. Not your email, not your costs, not your supplier list, not your margins. What you pay for wax and what you make on a candle is competitive information about your business, and it isn’t ours to sell.
Frequently asked questions
I scanned your card at the faire. Where’s the app?
Launching October 1 on the App Store and Google Play. Add your email above and you’ll get the link that morning.
I already have a spreadsheet. Why would I switch?
Because you have to maintain it. When a supplier raises a price or a marketplace changes its fees, or you choose to sell different product assortments at different marketplaces, a spreadsheet may need rebuilding and every product recalculated. Here you update the material or the marketplace once and every product that uses the material it updates with it in every marketplace you sell the products. One CPA who does craft shows put it more simply: he was tired of building spreadsheets.
I do more than 30 shows a year. Is there a limit?
With our Pro Plan, there is no cap on marketplaces, products, or materials. Set up each venue once with its own fees, and it’s there next season.
Do I have to connect my Etsy or Shopify account?
No. There’s nothing to connect and no account access. You enter your own costs and your own fees, and your numbers stay yours.
Is this bookkeeping software?
No. It doesn’t track your sales, produce reports for your accountant, or handle your taxes. It answers one question: what should I charge?
What if I sell somewhere unusual?
Set up any channel you like with its own percentage fee, flat fee, and processing rate. Renaissance Faires, church bazaars, consignment shops, farmers markets, and pop-ups all work the same way.
Does it work if I don’t sell online at all?
Yes. Plenty of makers only sell in person. Set up a single in-person channel and you’ll still get your true cost and your target price.
I make things one at a time, not in batches. Will it still work?
Yes. Set your batch size to one and everything else works the same. That covers a commissioned costume, a custom hat, or an instrument that takes you three weeks — log the hours against the single piece and you’ll see what it truly cost to make.
I make a batch and cut it into pieces. Can it handle that?
Yes. Enter the ingredients for the whole batch and tell it how many pieces you get. A pan of fudge cut into forty squares works exactly like a pour of forty candles.
I haven’t opened my shop yet. Is it too early?
It’s the best time. Pricing correctly from your first sale is far easier than raising prices on customers who already know your old ones.
What does it cost?
Free for one marketplace and up to 10 products, with an unlimited materials library and no credit card required. Our Pro Plan is $49.99 a year billed annually or $7.99 a month billed monthly for unlimited everything. Subscribe by October 30 and your first year is only $34.99.
Do you sell my data?
No, and we won’t. Your costs, your suppliers, and your margins are competitive information about your business. We make our money from subscriptions.
